Washington Generals To Replace Coach After 80-Year Losing Streak

"I don't know why we didn't do something earlier," insists Generals' president and GM, John Ferrari, "but no one can say we didn't give [head coach] Red Klotz every chance to turn it around." Assistant coach, Lou Dunbar added "That's right, sir, every chance." Since 1929, the Harlem Globetrotters have played the Washington Generals almost exclusively for a grand total of 22,167 consecutive one-sided and, frankly, embarrassing victories. "Their forward finally hands the ball over to our forward, only to pull his pants down in front of everyone!" lamented Ferrari. "I'm not even sure what the rules say about that, but the main thing is that at some point you got to start anticipating these things if you want to win some games. I mean, how many times can they get away with something like that?" Ferrari asked rhetorically. "At least 22,000 times, sir," replied assistant coach Dunbar. "You're fired," shot back the GM.
