Ask An Out-Of-Touch Octogenarian

Q: "Out-of-touch Octogenarian, what is wrong with the world today?"

A: "Holy Mackerel! Where do I begin?! First of all, no one seems to notice or give a hoot that we got ourselves a colored guy-- sorry, I mean 'nigra'-- as President of the United States of America! The office of the Presidency is too important to cheapen it like that! Who's gonna take that boy seriously? Second of all, the gull-darn government is growing out of control! Keep your greedy, meddling government fingers off my Medicare and Social Security!
Third, quit trying to bleed successful people dry! The rich got rich by being smart and putting good people to work! Why do you want to punish them?! They earned that money and the government ain't got no right to swoop in and claim it!"

Q: "But Out-of-touch Octogenarian, to your first point, are you suggesting that non-white people are inferior to white people? Second, do you not realize that Medicare and Social Security are liberal programs that are actually run by the government, and which the conservatives have vowed to abolish? And third, the wealthiest Americans' taxable income went from being taxed at 91% during the Eisenhower administration (the Elvis Presleys and the Howard Hugheses and so on) to 71% during the Kennedy administration, to 39% during the Reagan administration, and down to 36% during the Bush (II) administration. Middle class people pay approximately 25% of their income in taxes today. And these are people-- families-- making less than $100,000.00 a year. Don't you think that billionaires can go back to paying 39% without really even noticing the difference?"

A: "Back in Bastogne we had a word for guys like you: "milquetoast." And if that didn't work, "twinkle-toes" did the trick. If you still didn't get the message, we'd slather your ass in bacon grease and hammer it home!"

Q: "What?! How about a substantive response to my points, sir?"

A: "Go to hell. commie!!"
