Michael Bublé Targets Younger Audience With New Album, Updates Sound From 1940s-Era Crooner Style To Late '50s-Era Crooner Style

Always a hit with the over-55 crowd, routinely captivating up to 70% capacity crowds at Pechanga and Morongo casinos and wowing retirement communities up and down Florida, Michael Bublé, 35, now sets his sights on a younger demographic, specifically, teenaged girls. "After barely eeking out a living all these years while pouring my blood, sweat and tears into every single song, I was about ready to hang it up," the retro crooner confided. "What more can I do to sell records, here?" he wondered aloud. "So I had a long heart-to-heart with my management team, and it turns out that teenaged girls buy more music than retirees do. A lot more, apparently," the perplexed singer added.
"It was like a light went on. I get it now. The kids don't want to hear my faithful renditions of Mel Tormé and Perry Como tunes anymore," Bublé explained. "They want something fresh and hip. Just wait 'til they get a load of my faithful renditions of Bobby Darin, Paul Anka, and Bobby Vinton tunes!" the songsmith optimistically exclaimed.
